I have 10 yrs experience in process engineering in the LCD manufacturing industry. I got strong softskills background used in process engineering such as advanced SPC, FMEA..Six Sigma,Lean Mfg,ISO audit..etc.. and little of Excel VBA programming skills. I had a degree in electrical eng’g and would like to pursue my career in the Oil and Gas industry.. Anyone can please advise me of what additional skills do I need or could lead me to training institutions and agency accepting O & G trainee / apprentice. Thank you.

I am going to graduate with a B.S in Manufacturing Management (six sigma, lean, project management) and Supply Chain Management (operations, procurement…) in December. I have a job lined up as a Project Manager with the starting salary of $70,000 if i want to start working right after graduation. I personally want to go ahead and do my masters because I want to get it done and over with while i’m still young and single. However, I don’t know what to do. MBA? Is there a Masters of Manufacturing MGMT? Any suggestions? I am really lost and looking for some direction. My professors say I should focus on getting certifications from PMI, ASQ or APICS rather than a masters but I want some other opinions. Thank you.
